Our colleague Fiona Giselbrecht-Köck attended this year’s HR Competence Day hosted by Stepstone Austria - and brought back inspiring insights from the impressive venue, K47.
The focus: current developments in recruiting. How is the Austrian labor market evolving? What challenges are we facing - and which trends are already emerging clearly?
A particular highlight was the keynote by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Peter Filzmaier, who examined the digital world of work from a socio-cultural and societal perspective. His clear message: digital skills are not a “nice to have,” but a decisive success factor. A thought that strongly resonates with our daily work: we use AI purposefully where it creates real value - for example, by supporting the creation and optimization of job postings or helping to structure interviews.
At the same time, sound expertise, experience, and evidence-based methods remain the foundation of our decisions. Education, continuous training, and the targeted development of digital skills are key to meeting both current and future requirements.
On top of that: valuable exchanges with HR industry insiders and plenty of food for thought for practical application. Many thanks to Stepstone Austria for a truly successful event!
