Building bridges between Kenya and Austria

For strong international skilled-labour migration partnerships

We had the pleasure of welcoming Ambassador Valerie Rugene, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in Austria, to our Pendl Piswanger office in the heart of Vienna.

She was received by Wolfgang Berger as well as Angelika Kiessling-Kranzelmayer, Paola Terceli and Barbara Haag.

The focus of the meeting was an in-depth exchange on opportunities for international recruitment of skilled workers from Kenya to Austria, as well as preparations for an information event on this topic, hosted by the Austrian Embassy in early December in Nairobi.

Valerie emphasized the great potential of young, well-educated Kenyan talent, who show strong interest in international career opportunities. Together, we aim to direct attention toward Austria. The already concluded Memorandum of Understanding on labor mobility between Austria and Kenya forms an essential foundation for this.

At Pendl Piswanger, this is exactly where we come in:

  • Placement of qualified healthcare professionals from Kenya to Austria
  • Established partner networks & cooperation with Kenyan universities
  • Professional support throughout the entire end-to-end process – from recruitment & selection to preparation, relocation and integration
  • Sustainable win-win solutions for the Austrian healthcare system and Kenyan nursing professionals

We are particularly looking forward to the upcoming event by the Austrian Embassy Nairobi and Advantage Austria Nairobi in early December in Nairobi. There, interested professionals will receive insights into job opportunities in Austria – and our partner Talent and Youth Empowerment-TYE Pathways and our team have been invited to actively contribute to the program.

🌍 Together, we shape perspectives.

🤝 Together, we create opportunities.
